SAWA Supports the Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan

The Western Riverside County Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (MSHCP) Biological Monitoring Program is tasked with collecting data on the 146 Covered Species and associated habitats identified in the MSHCP for the purpose of assessing the MSHCP’s progress in  meeting conservation objectives and to provide information for adaptive management.

Currently, the SAWA MSHCP staff includes one Monitoring Program Administrator, one Office Assistant, one Data Manager, one Biologist Supervisor, three Taxa Program Leads (Botany, Herptile, and Mammal), six Field Biologists, and one contracted GIS Analyst.  An Avian Taxa Lead is a CDFW employee, supported with endowment funding from Caltrans.
